Justice Society of America 1-8 set

$20.00

Set in 1950, this eight-issue series helped revive the Golden Age versions of such heroes as Flash, Green Lantern, and Hawkman.
1. “Beware the Savage Skies!”finds Flash dealing with a living constellation while the original Starman falls prey to a mysterious villain.
2. “The Sack of Gotham.” The country experiences a blackout, thanks to living constellations. Black Canary battles Gorilla Grodd.
3. “Dead Air.” Green Lantern takes center stage, attempting to rescue his teammates and stop the chaos caused by the power outage.
4. “Evil of the Ancients.” The living constellations steal weaponry, including an A-bomb. Hawkman battles Andromeda.
5. “Double Star Rising.” In this Golden Age-esque tale, Flash and Hawkman seek to retrieve the stolen atomic weapons. Meanwhile, Vandal Savage explains his nefarious plan to Starman.
6. “Danger Flies the Skies.” Hawkman and Flash have been captured by Vandal Savage. A star beast flies Green Lantern and Black Canary to its master. Doiby Dickles guest stars.
7. “The Return of the Justice Society.” The JSA, reassembled at last, battles Vandal Savage. Star Creatures mysteriously turn into faux TV stars (so to speak) of the era.
8. “Battle of the Stars.” Starman rejoins the resurgent JSA, and the team battles Vandal Savage and faux 50s TV stars, which were formed from the reviled star creatures.
